2 militants killed, 2 boys injured, 10 kg RDX recovered in J
Srinagar, Feb 16 (UNI) Security forces killed two militants and busted two hideouts recovering 15 kg explosives and RDX while two boys were injured in a blast and one person was abducted in Jammu and kashmir overnight, an official spokesman said here today.
The security forces and police killed two militants in an encounter in a village in Udhampur district of Jammu region last evening, he said. Five kg of explosives, two AK rifles, five magzines, 130 rounds of ammunition and one rocket launcher were recovered from the slain militants.
The boys, Shahid Iqbal and Wasif Khan were injured when an explosive device went off at Morah Bachal in Poonch district today.
The injured were hospitalised.
Militants kidnapped one Murtaza Hussain Shah from his Jabran Gursal house in Poonch district last night. A massive hunt has been launched to trace him.
In a joint operation police and security forces busted a hideout at Khour and recovered one AK rifle, four magazines, 300 rounds of ammunition, nine packets of explosive material, one wireless set and nine electric devices.
Security forces also busted another hideout at Hamipur in Doda district and recovered two AK rifles, four magazines, 360 rounds of ammunition, ten kg RDX and one wireless set. However, no one was arrested.
