Vidyarthi Sena activists set afire greeting cards

Akola, Feb 15 (UNI) Activists of Vidyarthi Sena, students wing of Shiv Sena, set afire greetings cards to protest the Western style of expressing love.

The activists tried to solemnise marriage of love struck boys and girls in Indian style, who meet on Valentine's Day, but their attempt was foiled by police yesterday.

Police said despite detaining some leaders of Vidyarthi Sena, the activists had arranged dresses for the brides and grooms, chairs, flowers, bands and other material needed for traditional marriage.

However, no untoward incident was reported, police claimed.
