UANF cadre surrenders in Meghalaya
Shillong Feb 15 (UNI) A cadre of United A'chik National Front (UANF) today surrendered before the district administration in Meghalaya's West Garo Hills district.
The cadre, a hardcore militant of the outfit, surrendered before the district's Superintendent of Police J F Marak, police said.
Police said the ultra, trained in Bangladesh's Chittagong Hills Tract, had decided to shun the path of violence.
However, the militant did not surrender any arms or ammunition, police added.
