Three arrested in lady doctor's rape-murder case

Nagpur, Feb 15 (UNI) Three persons, including a teacher, were arrested for gang-raping and murdering a lady doctor from village Kurha in Buldana district of Vidarbha region.

Police said Dr Varsha Ghoti from village Kurha was found raped and murdered on February 10. Police had registered offences of rape and murder against unidentified persons.

Police arrested three persons in this connection on Tuesday.

These include a teacher Chhagan Rabde, Jawansingh Bhika Manja and Jawansingh Bhagwan Machale, all residents of Kurha in Motala taluka of Buldana district.

The accused have confessed to having gang-raped and murdered Dr Varsha, police said.
