Social security pension to be disbursed through post offices

Patna, Feb 15 (UNI) Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar today launched the scheme of disbursement of pension under social security scheme for the poor through post offices.

After launching the scheme, Mr Kumar said the step had been taken in view of the difficulties faced by the beneficiaries to draw their pension from their respective block offices.

'' Earlier the pensioners had to travel a long distance to get their pension from the block office and used to fall into the traps of local agents''he added.
