Ownership to farmers fulfils Gandhi's dream: Verma

Jammu, Feb 15 (UNI) Noted Gandhian workers have unanimously hailed the Roshani Bill passed by Jammu and Kashmir government under which 16.60 lakh kanals of state land were given free of cost to one million poor farmers.

J&K Gandhian workers President S P Verma, while speaking at the rally of Gandhian workers, said Roshni Rally will be taken by Gandhian workers in all nook and corners of the state.

He said in the darkness of violence, Gandhiji detected ''Ray of Roshni'' in J&K state in 1947 and today Chief Minister Ghulam Nabi Azad being true follower of Gandhi proved to the people what that ray of Roshni was.

Mr Azad said Gandhi, a symbol of secularism and mutual brotherhood, always desired that farmers should be encouraged to grow more crops and other agriculture production. It was a basis of Gandhi's economic concept and pivotal factor of Swaraj.
