Mumbai, Feb 15 (UNI) Shiv Sena MP Subodh Mohite, who resigned from the party yesterday, was involved in anti-party activities, party MLA from Ramtek Ashish Jaiswal has alleged.

Mr Jaiswal, accompanied by Sena's Nagpur district chief Prakash Jadhav and former MLA Vinayak Raut, told reporters here today that he was to be thrown out of the party.

He said Mr Mohite, an MP from Ramtek, had not turned up for the scheduled meeting with Sena Supremo Balasaheb Thackeray.

Mr Mohite had tried to wean away corporators in Nagpur by taking affidavits. This, however, did not materialise due to lack of numbers, they said.

Mohite had resigned from the party and Parliament, for what he described as ''insult to people of Ramtek'', by Shiv Sena Supremo Bal Thackeray, for refusing to give him an audience.

Meanwhile, a meeting of Sena MP's was held at Matoshri, the residence of Bal Thackeray today. Sources described the meeting as ''routine'', saying it was against the backdrop of the Budget Session.
