Mizoram university recognised CIJWS

Aizawl, Feb 15 (UNI) Mizoram university has recognised the courses related to counter insurgency conducted at Counter Insurgency and Jungle Warfare School (CIJWS) in Mizoram.

According to CIJWS officials, university has agreed to award diploma in Low Intesity Conflict Operations and Management for eight weeks course, while Nagamese, Burmese, Manipuri and Tangkhul language courses would be recognised as certificate from new training year in June next.

University had reviewed the syllabi/course contents of CIJWS few months back and recognised the institution last Monday.

CIJWS, an internationally acclimed military institution, is considered a centre of excellence for counter insurgency training and is becoming a preferred destination for various foreign armies, officials added.
