K'taka Legislative Council extends session
Bangalore, Feb 15 (UNI) The Karnataka Legislative Council, which could not transact any business for about ten days due to agitation by the Congress members over election to the House Chairman's post issue, today extended the ongoing session by three days from February 19.
Council Officiating Chairman N Thipanna announced the extension of the House after Higher Education Minister D H Shankaramurthy, also the floor leader, appealed for the same.
Mr Thipanna adjourned the House for the day after allowing initiation of discussion on the motion of thanks to the Governor for his address, which was moved by BJP's Manohar Maski.
