Iranian Minister meets Soz

New Delhi, Feb 15 (UNI) Visiting Iranian Energy and Water Resources Minister Parviz Fattah today met Union Water Resources Minister Saifuddin Soz to discuss the Urban Water Management and Hydrological Studies and other areas of mutual interest.

The two leaders also discussed the functioning of Regional Centre on Urban Water Management (RCUWM), Tehran under the auspices of UNESCO in February 2002. The Governing Board of Regional Centre has representatives of Iran and UNESCO and other countries of the region, including India and various international organisations.

The Iranian Minister also presented a rare copy of holy Quran written in ink produced from rose petals along with a copy of Diwa-ne-Hafiz caligraphed by Iran's renowned artist Ghulam Hussain Mirkhanei to Prof Soz.
