International Childhood Cancer Day organised

New Delhi, Feb 15 (UNI) On the occasion of International Childhood Cancer Day, CANKIDS, a unit of Indian Cancer Society, organised a march past and cycle relay here today.

CANKIDS is a family support group for children afflicted with cancer.

The programmes organised by the group included fun games, Rock band performances, photo exhibition, and a banner competition.

The children were also gifted cycles at the Dhyanchand National Stadium, India Gate.

The function was held to spread the message that children could be cured of cancer.

An inter-school march past and cycle-sprint competition called as Taklu Takli March Past was participated by children from 15 leading schools of Delhi, showing solidarity for the 2010 games in Delhi.
