Hexaware declares 80 pc dividend

Mumbai, Feb 15 (UNI) Hexaware Technology has declared an 80 per cent dividend for the year ended December 31, 2006 as against the 60 per cent dividend the previous year.

Informing reporters about the company's results here today, Hexaware chairman Atul Nishar said, ''The company's revenue from operations was Rs 84.82 crore, an increase of 39.9 per cent over the Rs 67.86 crore revenue in the previous year 2005.'' The net profit after tax was Rs 12.42 crore for the financial year ended December 31, 2006, compared to Rs 9.14 crore for year ended December 31, 2005, he said.

''We are on track to realize over USD 100 million per annum in testing revenues within the next three years,'' he said adding, ''Our recent performance, a solid order book, and a strong business environment gives me the confidence that we can double our revenues and profits within the next 8-10 quarters.'' The rupee's rapid appreciation in fourth quarter was a negative surprise that reduced operating margins by 1.3 per cent during the fourth quarter, he added.
