Heavy rains, snow likely in Uttaranchal, HP, J

Pune, Feb 15 (UNI) Heavy rain or snow are likely to occur at isolated places in Uttaranchal, Himachal Pradesh, and Jammu and Kashmir.

Rain or thundershowers are likely to occur at a few places in Arunachal Pradesh, Assam, Meghalaya, Nagaland, Manipur, Mizoram, Tripura, West Bengal and Sikkim, and at isolated places in Orissa, west Uttar Pradesh, Haryana, Punjab, north Rajasthan, and Tamil Nadu.

Cold wave conditions prevailed at isolated places in Himachal Pradesh. Night temperatures were appreciably below normal in some parts of Sub-Himalayan West Bengal and Sikkim, Orissa, Jharkhand, Jammu and Kashmir, Madhya Pradesh, south Madhya Maharashtra, Chattisgarh, coastal Karnataka, and in remaining parts of Himachal Pradesh.

Night temperatures were below normal in some parts of Gangetic West Bengal, Bihar, east Uttar Pradesh, Konkan, Goa, Telangana, Kerala and in remaining parts of Chattisgarh. They were appreciably above normal in some parts of Nagaland, Manipur, Mizoram, Tripura, Rajasthan, Gujarat, coastal Andhra Pradesh, and Tamil Nadu, and were above normal in some parts of Assam, Meghalaya, Haryana and in remaining parts of Gujarat and Tamil Nadu. They were normal over the rest of the country.

Heavy rain or snow have occurred at a few places in Uttaranchal, and Jammu and Kashmir.

Rain or thundershowers have occurred at most places in Assam, Meghalaya, Nagaland, Manipur, Mizoram, Tripura, Sub-Himalayan West Bengal and Sikkim and at a few places in Arunachal Pradesh, and Gangetic West Bengal.
