Golden Peacock Global award for Tata motors

Chennai, Feb 15: Tata Motors has been conferred with the ''Golden Peacock Global Award'' for corporate social responsibility in the large business category by the Institute of Directors, the International body of Company Directors.

Tata Motors has received the award based on assessment, by an independent jury, of the company's integration of CSR concerns with corporate functioning, responsiveness to the needs of different stakeholders and development of innovative partnership models to fulfil the social responsibilities, a statement release said here today.

The jury comprised distinguished personalities from across the World, under the Chairmanship of Dr Ola Ullsten, former Prime Minister of Sweden.

The award will be presented at the second global meet on social responsibility in Vilamoura, Portugal, the release added.
