Elitecore signs MoU with CITC, Anand

Ahmedabad, Feb 15 (UNI) The Charotar Institute of Technology, Changa(CITC) of Anand today signed an MoU here with Elitecore Technologies Ltd to start research&development on Next Generation Networks (NGN).

Addressing reporters, Mr Hemal Patel, CEO, Elitecore Technologies said ''Elitecore Technologies is committed to partnering with educational institutes to raise the level of IT education to global industry standards and the NGN is the way forward for communication technology and with research exposure in this field, the students of CITC would gain a lot.'' The MoU was signed by Mr Hemal Patel and the principal of CITC Mr VP Kosta. Mr Surendra Patel, chairman, of CITC and ex-Ahmedabad Urban Development Authority (AUDA) could not make it to the signing-in ceremony.

''This is not an MoU, it is the actual thing. We are starting the R&D programme as the state lacks talented and skilled IT graduates of global standards. To prepare talent to the global demand, we have begun to work with CITC so that it gets global visibility,'' Mr Patel added.

As part of the agreement, Elitecore would set up equipments, infrastructure and monetary help in setting up of the R&D facility at CITC. Elitecore would provide the complete network infrastructure for the R&D facility and conudct extensive research programmes. It would also provide an executive mentor and visiting faculty for the programme.

In return, CITC will provide faculties, associate with world NGN forums, screen and select students for the R&D facility and publish research reports and make presentations at world NGN forums, Mr Patel said.

Currently, CITC has 1,600 students and out of these 600 students (in the graduate and post-graduate courses) in MCA, IT and comupter engineering will be eligible to undergo the screening test to qualify for the NGN R&D setup. Elitecore expects to absorb most of these students in their offices worldwide, Mr Patel said.
