ECR Bio-Diesel Atlanta VP calls on AP CM
Hyderabad, Feb 15 (UNI) ECR Bio-Diesel Atlanta GA, Vice-President Ahmed Ba-Osman called on Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Y S Rajasekhara Reddy along with the Hyderabad-based Andhra Alternate Fuel Technology Chairman Minaj Ahmed Khan at the Secretariat today.
Addressing a courtesy meeting, welcoming Indian government's decision on ECR Bio-Diesel, Dr Osman suggested to organise a demonstration in Atlanta for officials who had shown interest in developing a cost-effective solution to Bio-Diesel and alternate fuels technologies in India.
The Chief Minister was much impressed with the proposal and said the government was in fore front to encourage Bio-fuel production in the state. The state had already allocated more than two lakh acres of land for Pongamia cultivation for Bio-Diesel production in future, he added.
The Chief Minister also apprised about the competent nature of the advanced ECR Bio-Diesel alternate fuel technology, which required 12-15 times lesser capital investment for a conventional bio-diesel plant as compared to the convention technology available in Europe and other places.
Dr Ahmed Osman including other members of the delegation have expressed hope that they were exploring opportunities in the state to establish a Bio-fuel industry, apart from looking for potential lands for plantation of non-edible oil plants such as Pongamia and Jatropha.
Revealing that ECR exclusive license for India was in an advanced stage, Mr Osman said after came into being it would produce 4,00,00,000 litres of Bio-Diesel per year.
Mr Osman said, B5 blend Bio-Diesel would require 785 million gallons in 2007. The ultimate goal was to have 20 per cent blend Bio-Diesel in 80 per cent diesel. Bio-Diesel blend in diesel would reduce between 60-65 per cent condiments and particulates emission, such as Carbon Dioxide, Carbon Monoxide, Sulphur as well as Phosphorus, an official release said.
Mr Khan, who had recently visited ECR Bio-Diesel Atlanta GA plant observed that it was a very cost-effective and economical process capable of handling multiple feed stock of oil sources for producing Bio-Diesel.
He showed keen interest to start a Bio-Diesel plant in Andhra Pradesh as authorities of ECR Bio-Diesel technologies Atlanta GA had agreed to give their technologies.
