Detonator seized

Coimbatore, Feb 15 (UNI) Police today seized an improvised device kept in a two-wheeler in a crowded street at Gandhipuram here.

Police sources said the two-wheeler, owned by a printing press owner, was parked outside the press. Two persons came on another two-wheeler wearing helmets and left behind a parcel.

On noticing the parcel, the owner of the press informed the city police. When the police opened it they found a detonator and a gelatine stick along with wick. They seized the bomb, defused it and took it to a nearby ground.

Police are investigating the matter.
