Day-long relaxation in curfew: Madhya Pradesh

Indore, Feb 15: With the situation limping back to normalcy, curfew has been relaxed during the day time today in three police station areas of the city.

Night curfew will remain as a precautionary measure in Pandrinath, Chhatripura and Malharganj police station areas, Inspector General of Police Rajendra Kumar said.

Night curfew had already been lifted from Raojibazar, Sarafa, Sadar Bazar and Central Kotwali police station areas with rapid improvement in the situation.

Curfew was clamped in a part of the city on Monday last following communal tension after two groups clashed on a trivial issue of eve-teasing. About 200 people had already been detained in connection with violent incidents or curfew violation, while house search for arms continued.
