Daughter of debt ridden farmer commits suicide in Akola

Akola, Feb 15 (UNI) A 20-year-old unmarried daughter of a debt-ridden farmer, committed suicide by consuming poison at Nandhana village in Washim district.

Police said today the deceased Shalini Baban Shegokar, was learning computer at Malegaon. Her father Baban Shegokar is a debt ridden farmer, who wanted to get her married and was on the search for a groom. She died on February 11.

However, the exact cause of the suicide was not known and there was no suicide note found.

In another case, a 19-year-old farmer, Asish Bhimrao Bhagat committed suicide by hanging himself at Dongargaon village under Manora Tehsil on February 12, police said today.
