After being suspended from the Assembly for the day for stalling the proceedings on the issue, the MLAs staged a dharna outside the Assembly, demanding action against the police personnel for allegedly humiliating the MLA, when he was proceeding to Hyderabad from Bhadrachalam along with large number of party workers to stage a dharna in the city this evening.

TDP leaders, while criticising the attitude of the police personnel against the Legislator, alleged that the government was being vindictive.

Mr Rajaiah has complained during zero hour that he was insulted by police and his party workers were ill-treated even after the party had secured permission for staging a dharna near Indira park in the city, protesting against the delay in taking up Dummagudem Irrigation project.
