Country-made revolver recovered

Bangalore, Feb 15 (UNI) The Bangalore rural district police have recovered four belts used for carrying bombs and a country-made revolver with a live bullet from an agricultural field near the Bangalore-Pune National Highway today.

Police sources said the Nelamangala police have recovered four belts wrapped in a plastic cover and abandoned in the field. They also seized wires and 9 volt batteries which could be connected to explosive materials, besides a monkey cap and a knife.

Police immediately summoned a bomb disposal squad from Bangalore.

The squad, however, found no explosive materials in the belts, the sources added.
