CITU leader Chittabrata Mazumder critical

Kolkata, Feb 15(UNI) The condition of CITU General Secretary and veteran CPI(M) leader Chittabrata Mazumder turned critical as he was put on ventillatory support at a city nursing home today.

"His condition is critical. He is being treated for lung infection," CITU State President Shyamal Chakraborty told UNI.

Nursing home sources said Mr Mazumder was put on ventillatory support after he developed acute breathing trouble.

A member of the CPI(M) Central Committee, Mr Mazumder was admitted to the nursing home on February one with respiratory problem caused by chronic obstruction in lungs.
