Chandigarh-based IT company acquires Avaap of US

Chandigarh, Feb 15 (UNI) Chandigarh-based business process management solutions (BPM) company, NVISH Solutions Pvt Ltd, has acquired US-based Avaap Inc, Mr Gurmail Singh, Director of the company told the media here today.

Mr Gurmail Singh, who returned to India after six-year stint in Silicon Valley, to set up the Indian arm of his US-based company in Panchkula last year, said that NVISH is the only leading STPI registered and ISO-certified mid-sized BPM solution company in the region growing at such a fast pace.

NVISH has acquired a leading US-based ERP solutions company having expertise in Lawson and ERP which gives strategic advantage to NVISH to serve its customers in US, he said.

This will also provide tremendous job opportunities to about 200 ERP professionals from Chandigarh region, he added.

Last month, in order to meet the growing needs of its customers based in US and Japan, NVISH had acquired Chandigarh-based e-Visual Media Solutions, to acquire world-class expertise in multimedia, web designing, desktop applications, and e-governance solutions.

NVISH, with e-Visual Media intends to work with the Himachal Government to improve the IT standards and roll out e-governance plans for more efficient and effective working of its various departments.

NVISH is serving a large number of international clients including Fortune-500 companies and many reputed corporates in India viz, Fujitsu, BEA, L&T, ICICI Bank, Taj Hotels, as well as various government and semi-government organisations, Mr Singh said.
