BJP workers gherao SECL office

Bilaspur, Chhattisgarh, Feb 15 (UNI) BJP Vice President Karuna Shukla today started talks with the management of South Eastern Coalfields Limited at Kusmunda on the problems of the displaced people even as the BJP workers continued gherao of SECL head office here since last night.

Along with the BJP workers, the displaced people from Kusmunda, Gevra and Deepika coal mine areas have started indefinite dharna at Gevra on Tuesday demanding resolution of their demands. But Ms Shukla led gherao of SECL office yesterday.

At the intervention of the district administration, SECL Managing Director invited Ms Shukla for talks.

Meanwhile, tension prevailed at SECL area as the BJP workers had prevented the movement of officials. BJP leader Bhupendra Singh said the employees would be allowed inside the office only on conclusion of the talks.
