Alfa-Laval to create manufacturing facilities: Nish Patel
Pune, Feb 15 (UNI) Swedish multinational Alfa-Laval India Limited will pump more investments to create manufacturing facilities for both domestic and export markets, the company said.
Speaking on the sidelines of the Poona Club Gold Course during the recently held invitational Alfa-Laval golf tournament, Company Director Nish Patel told UNI there was a need for modern manufacturing facilities considering stiff competition.
''The upgrade reflects India's strong ecomic prospects, extended balance sheet and its deep capital market, which supports its improving fiscal position.'' Mr Patel said.
The Indian economy has grown at an average rate of over 8 per cent in the past three years, followed by demand for goods and services from an increasingly affluent middle class he said.
The five decade-old Swedish multinational manufactures seperators, fluid handling products and exhangers. It started its operation in Pune and followed it in Satara and Sarle near Panchgani.
The company has decided to plough large investments to modernise the manufcturing facilities at all three divisions of Pune, Satara and Sarle.
The company mainly exports products to Malaysia, Thailand and Vietnam, he said.
