About 1,500 DMDK cadres join DMK

Chennai, Feb 14 (UNI) About 1,500 volunteers belonging to the fledgeling DMDK party launched during the previous Assembly elections by actor-turned-poilitician Vijaykanth, joined the ruling DMK here today.

The party cadres who joined DMK in the presence of Party President and Chief Minister M Karunanidhi, were led by DMDK's South Madras Unit Secretary R Venu.

Mr Karunanidhi welcomed them into his party.
