7 AK rifles recovered from two places
Jammu, Feb 15 (UNI) Security forces have busted two militant hideouts and recovered a large quantity of arm and ammunition including seven AK rifles at two different places in Jammu and Kashmir today.
An Army spokesman said in an operation, a hideout was busted in Mendhar in border district of Poonch and five AK rifles and ammunitions recovered.
In another operation, troops of Gorkha rifles under the aegis of Jaurian Brigade recovered a huge quantity of arms and ammunition explosives and detonators used for Improvised Explosive Device (IED) in general area, near border village Pargwal in Akhnoor tehsil, the sources said.
Two AK-56 rifles, huge quantity of ammunition, eight Kgs of high grade explosive device, one hand held radio set, one terminal box with nine electric circuit and warlike stores, were recovered the spokesman said.
An IED, weighing four kg and concealed in a steel container was recovered at Dhundak, about 25 metres from the main road in Surankote tehsil of Poonch district last evening.
