3 Sri Lankans held

Rameswaram, Tamil Nadu, Feb 15 (UNI) Three persons were arrested and 126 bags of aluminium balls and three bags of washers, allegedly used as spare parts for guns and rocket launchers, were seized from a country boat off Rameswaram coast here late last night by the Indian Navy.

Official sources here today said the three Sri Lankans had procured the items from Tuticorin and were proceeding to Sri Lanka, when the Navy intercepted them.

The arrested were Sudhakaran, Jayakanth and Janardhanan.

Further investigations are on, sources added.
