18-year-old awarded capital punishment for rape-murder

Bulandshahr, Feb 15 (UNI) A court today sentenced a teenaged boy to death for the rape and murder of a three-year-old girl here.

According to prosecution, on February 18, 2006, Anuj Sharma had garrotted Tanu after criminally assaulting her at Kurli village under Gulawathi police station area.

After hearing both the sides, Fast Track Court Judge S K Singh convicted the accused and gave him capital punishment.
