Second phase Manipur election witnesses 90 per cent voters turnout
New Delhi, Feb 14 (UNI) The second phase of Manipur Assembly elections today witnessed about 85 to 90 per cent voter turnout which is expected to go up further, Deputy Election Commissioner J P Prasad said.
Addressing mediapersons here, Mr Prasad said the election passed off peacefully without any reports of untoward incident or the malfunctioning of EVMs.
He said under the second phase of elections 21 assembly constituencies spread over three districts of Imphal East, Imphal West and Bishnupur were covered.
