One burnt alive and 15 injured in Kashmir accidents
Srinagar, Feb 14 (UNI) One person was burnt alive while 15 persons were injured in different road accidents in the Kashmir valley today, a police spokesman said.
Official sources said a revenue official, Bashir Ahmad Lone, was burnt alive when a fire broke out in his house at Langate in the frontier district of Kupwara.
The fire was caused due to a short circuit in an electric blanket, they said.
In a seperate incident, a passenger bus flipped over near Keegam on Shopian-Pulwama road today causing injuries to 12 passengers.
The injured have been admitted to district hospital at Pulwama, he said.
He said an army vehicle hit and injured one Mohammad Khalid Dar at Mirbazar on the Srinagar-Jammu national highway today. A case has been registered.
In yet another incident, a truck hit a load carrier railway Bridge Wanpoh, resulting injuries to the driver of load carrier Sartaj Ahmad Bhat and Sabroz Ahmad Ganie. The injured have been hospitalised. A case has been registered.
He said a Tipper overturned at Moulana Azad road due to which the driver sustained injuries and has been hospitalised.
