Jamnagar, Gujarat, Feb 14 (UNI) A small town government employee, is aiming for a place in the Guinness Book of World Records for writing the first-ever Bhagwad Gita in up-set writing in his native tongue Gujarati.
The unique feature of Dinesh Lalji Anaddakat's Bhagwad Gita in up-set writing is that the vedic shlokas and mantras can be read by facing the pages in the mirror.
Dinesh began practising up-set writing as a hobby during his childhood and would send postcards to his friends and relatives.
Dinesh, who works in the Gujarat Circle of Bharat Sanchar Nigam Limited (BSNL), said he took inspiration from Leonardo Da Vinci of the famed 'Monalisa Smile', who used to write his daily notes in up-set writing to keep them as a secret.
This Post Graduate in Commerce, completed writing Bhagwad Gita in up-set form, in 28 days between April 2 and April 29. It contains 700 stanzas and eighteen chapters in 78 pages.
Dinesh is planning applying for a place in the Limca Book of Records and Guiness Book of World Records.
Prior to this feat, Dinesh wrote Hanumaan Chalisa in up-set font.
He is presently writing the Hindu mythological epic 'Ramayana'.
