Fisherman injured in Lankan firing

Thanjavur, Tamil Nadu, Feb 14 (UNI) A fisherman sustained bullet injuries when a Sri Lankan Navy opened fire on a group of fishermen at Kodaikkarai off Nagapattinam coast yesterday.

Fishermen said the Navy indiscriminately fired at them when they were fishing in mid-sea.

The injured Arumugam was reported missing.

A case had been registered with police and fisheries department in Nagappatinam, they added.
