Contractual medical staffs to get one-year extension: Bhanu

Ranchi, Feb 14(UNI) The Jharkhand government has decided to extend services of the doctors and para-medical staffs, appointed on contractual basis, for one year.

Talking to mediapersons here, state Health Minister Bhanu Pratap Shahi said the extension had been given to them after their performance was observed satisfactory.

About 1365 doctors and 1720 para-medical employees were appointed on contractual basis by the state government.

Mr Shahi said the Deputy Commissioners, Regional Deputy Directors (Health) and Civil Surgeons throughout the state had been intimated in this regard.
