Congress continue their dharna, House adjourned twice
Bangalore, Feb 14 (UNI) Karnataka Legislative Assembly was adjourned twice since morning without transacting any business even as Opposition Congress members continued their dharna for the second day demanding immediate election to the post of Chairman in the Legislative Council.
As soon as the House assembled in the morning, Congress members raising slogans against the Government trooped into the well of the House demanding the elections be held immediately.
Speaker Krishna who tried to pacify them said that Law and Parliamentary Minister M P Prakash had told the house Yesterday that he would consult Chief Minister H D Kumaraswamy and make a statement in the House in the afternoon.
However, the Congress members did not relent and the Speaker adjourned the house for half an hour.
Congress continued their dharna even when the House reassembled and the Speaker adjourned the house till afternoon.
