CONCOR declares dividend of Rs 65cr at 110 pc, pays Rs 45 cr to Govt

New Delhi, Feb 14 (UNI) Container Corporation of India Ltd (CONCOR) today declared an interim dividend of Rs 64.99 crore at 110 per cent on the equity paid-up share capital.

The company's Managing Director Rakesh Mehrotra presented a dividend cheque of Rs 45.10 to Railway Minister Lalu Prasad here.

The Railway Ministry holds 63.08 per cent of the equity share capital of the company.

Member Traffic, Railway Board and Chairman, CONCOR and other officials of CONCOR were also present in the function.

CONCOR's 121st Board of Directors Meeting held on January 15 this year declared interim Dividend at 110 per cent on the paid-up equity share capital for the Financial Year 2006-07 as against total dividend at 180 per cent for 2005-06.

CONCOR has already paid 73.79 crore to the Government towards final dividend for 2005-06.

At present, CONCOR has paid to its shareholders a total dividend of Rs 579.96 crore, out of which the share of Indian Railways has been Rs 373.95 crore.
