Bloeria committee submits report to Chief Minister
Jammu, Feb 14 (UNI) The Bloeria Committee today submitted its report to Chief Minister Ghulam Nabi Azad for the demarcation of territorial jurisdiction of eight new districts, three sub-divisions and 12 tehsils in Jammu and Kashmir.
After the landmark and historical decision taken by coalition government for creation of new districts, sub-divisions and tehsils, a demarcation committee headed by Dr Bloeria was appointed for demarcation of territorial jurisdiction of new administrative units.
The committee after conducting thorough survey of entire Jammu and Kashmir particularly of those areas which fall under the jurisdiction of newly created districts and other administrative units, reached to the conclusion and submitted a comprehensive report to the Chief Minister.
Members of the committee Mushtaq Ahmad Ganai, Mumtaz Afzal, S R Kapoor, A G Shahbaz, Abdul Azim and V K Gupta and Chief Secretary C Phunsog, Principal Secretary to Chief Minister Anil Goswami, Secretary Revenue Masud Samoon and Divisional Commissioner Kashmir Basharat Ahmad were present on the occasion.
Mr Azad, while interacting with Chairman and other members of the committee appreciated their role for completing the report one day ahead of the deadline for submitting the report.
The report comprises two parts. Part-I is the main report consisting of 402 pages while Part-II is compilation of representations received by the committee. The report is spread over 20 chapters. Photographs and maps have also been inserted at appropriate places in the report.
