Two arrested for impersonating as police officers
New Delhi, Feb 13 (UNI) The Delhi Police have arrested two people from the South Extension area of South Delhi for cheating people by impersonating as police officers.
Ravi Kapoor and Ajay Kataria were arrested yesterday during a checking by the police, while they had come to South Extension in police uniforms and with a wireless set.
During checking, the identity cards shown by them were found to be ''bogus''. One revolver and many cartridges were also recovered from their possession. They were taken into custody and a case of impersonation, cheating and forgery was registered against them.
Interrogation of the two revealed that they had committed several crimes in last couple of months by impersonating as police officers.
Efforts to nab their associates were on.
