2 abducted teenagers flee from militants' hold

Jammu, Feb 13: Two teenagers, who were abducted by the militants from the R S Pura border area earlier this month, managed to flee from their clutches in Basantgarh area of the Udhampur district here.

Mohammad Imran (15) and Sunil Kumar (6), both belonging to the R S Pura area, reported the matter to the Army last evening after they had escaped on Saturday night through the Raichak forest in Basantgarh, a defence spokesman said.

Acting on the information by the teenagers, a search operation has been launched in the area to flush out the ultras, he said.

Both of them, abducted on February 4, were handed over to the Lodhara police post last evening.
