New Delhi, Feb 13: The Supreme Court today refused to allow suspended Haryana IPS officer R K Sharma, who is the main accused in the Shivani Bhatnagar murder case, to have access to the police diary in the case.

A bench, headed by Justice Arijit Pasayat, set aside the Delhi High Court order directing the police to supply copies of the statements made by the victim's husband Rakesh Bhatnagar during investigations.

Sharma had sought access to the statements made by Shivani's husband in the preliminary stages of the investigation. He had contended that he needed the statements which were relevant for his defence in the case.
