Police constable on poll duty attempts suicide in Punjab
Ferozpur, Feb 13 (UNI) A Punjab police constable on election duty today attempted to commit suicide at a polling station in the Fazilka assembly constituency in the district, SSP Arpit Sukla stated here.
According to the SSP, constable Hari Singh shot himself with the service rifle of his colleague in a room adjacent to a polling booth inside the polling station. He was rushed to the civil hospital at Fazilka after sustaining serious injuries, but was refered to the DMC hospital at Ludhiana.
Mr Shukla said the matter was being probed.
