Non-gazetted employees federation demands tax exemption

Doeghar, Feb 13 (UNI) Bihar and Jharkhand Non-gazetted Employees Federation has demanded the Union government to exempt the employees earning about Rs two lakh anually from the income-tax.

Talking to reporters here, general secretary of the Federation Gopal Prasad Tripathy here said today the decision in this regard was taken during a two-day confederation on February 11 and 12 .

Mr Tripathy said other demands included providing Rs 1000 as an interim relief for the employees and considering strike to be a right of the labourers.

Speaking about the problems of the non-gazatted employees of Jharhand, Mr Tripathy said 15-fold demands had also been made by the state government. The demands included providing bonus and correcting the flaws in the salary structure.

Former Minister and senior Congress leader Krishnand Jha and Jharkhand Vias Dal president Suraj Mandal were present during the two-day confederation.
