Nobel Laureates lecture series to be organised from tomorrow
New Delhi, Feb 13 (UNI) The External Affairs Ministry will intruduce a Nobel Laureates Lecture series as an integral part of diplomacy by providing an opportunity for experts to interact with some of the best minds in the world.
The first lecture of the series, to be presided over by External Affairs Minister Pranab Mukherjee tomorrow, will be given by Prof John F Nash Jr., Nobel Prize winner in Economics in 1994, on 'Global Games and Globalisation.' Prof Nash won Nobel Prize for his contribution to game theory wwhich has had a profound effect on the way economic theory has developed since 1970s.
An Oscar wining film 'A Beautiful Mind' was made based on him.
Prof Nash, who will be in India till February 20, will also visit Bangalore and Mumbai.
He will call on several Indian leaders.
