Minority women protest frisking by male cops

Gurdaspur, Feb 13 (UNI) Polling was stalled for some time in a booth in Qadian constituency of this district after women voters belonging to a minority community today took strong exception to frisking by male police officials.

The polling process was obstructed for over one-and-a-half hours at booth number 168 at Qadian, which is the headquarters of the Ahmadiya community.

The matter was resolved after Congress candidate Tript Rajinder Singh Bajwa intervened and woman constables were called in.
