Lions Club's campaign against drunken-driving
Chennai, Feb 13 (UNI) The Lions Club International District-324-A5 today conducted a massive campaign against drunken-driving in 20 junctions in the city, as part of the Chennai City Traffic Police' plan to do the same in 380 places here.
In a statement here, Lions International District Road Safety Programme Chairperson S Seran said as part of the campaign, the Lions Clubs members and other volunteers held banners depicting the ill effects of drunken-driving and distributed pamphlets to the passers-by.
He said the response from the public was tremendous.
Similar campaigns were also held in 360 other places in the city by the students of various schools, road safety wardens, NSS volunteers and the members of Scouts and Guides, he added.
