Lady police ASI on poll duty dies in accident

Moga, Feb 13: A lady Assistant Sub Inspector (ASI) of police was killed in a road accident in the town while she was going on election duty this morning, police reports said.

The ASI was hit by a speeding jeep on Moga-Ludhiana road, when she along with her colleagues, was proceeding to a polling station in the town. She died on the spot.

The police registered a case against the driver of the jeep, who escaped after the accident.
