Four dreaded Maoist ultras arrested in Jharkhand
Bokaro, Feb 13 (UNI) Police today nabbed four dreaded ultras, including a self-styled zonal commander of the proscribbed outfit CPI(Maoist), from Gomia police station of the district in Jharkhand.
Suprintendent of Police Manvinder Singh Bhatia here said acting on a tip-off, police raided Chodgadda area of Gomia and arrested Shiv Lal Manjhi, the self-styled area commander, along with three others Jitan Majhi, Badhan Manjhi and Sadavir Marandi.
Mr Singh said the Maoist ultras were involved in several incidents, including Bhelwaghati massacre, landmines explosion in the district in which 13 policemen were killed, attacks on former Chief Minister Babulal Marandi's carcade and security forces.
Police recovered firearms, a few cartridges and huge amount of naxal publication from them.
Investigation was on.
