Delhi Govt to organise anti-child labour rallies
New Delhi, Feb 13 (UNI) The Delhi Government is planning to organise awareness rallies against employment of child labour in all the districts of the capital.
Deputy Labour Commissioner (North and North East) K R Verma said the Labour department will take all the steps to ensure that children are not employed in restaurants, factories, workshops or as domestic helpers.
Mr Sharma urged the public to support the campaign and help it in its endeavour to eradicate the social evil.
As part of the campaign, the labour department on Sunday had organised a rally which wound through Khureji Chowk, Laxmi Market, Radhu Cinema, Vikas Marg, Nirman Vihar, Madhuban and Preet Vihar.
Units of Social Jurist (Right to Education Task Force), Members of Trade Unions of Trans Yamuna Area, RWAs, Market Associations and several NGOs participated in the rally.
