New Delhi, Feb 13 (UNI) The BJP today said it would launch a nationwide campaign from March 23 to bring to the fore ''the wrong policies adopted bt the Congress-led government at the Centre which resulted in price spiral, inflation, bad internal security, besides appeasement of the minorities''.

Flagging off the party vehicles at the BJP headquarters to carry out the campaign against the price situation in the national capital, BJP President Rajnath Singh urged the UPA government to bring back the prices of essential commodities used by aam aadmi (common man) to the levels when they had taken over from the NDA.

''It is no public secret that the Congress and high prices go hand in hand and it is time to uproot that party from the face of India,'' Mr Singh told the party workers.

Amid sloganeering, Mr Singh accompanied by party Vice President Mukhtar Abbas Naqvi and Delhi BJP Chief Harshvardhan and other leaders were garlanded by onion, tomatoes and other vegetables which had gone out of reach of the common man.

Mr Singh, urging the government to come out with a white paper on the price rise and inflation situation, said the BJP would hold public rallies and dharnas all over the country in April if the Government failed to check the prices.

The prices of agricultural commodities were stable when the NDA under Atal Bihari Vajpayee ruled the country, he added.
