Bi-annual BSF-Pak Rangers meet in Jalandhar
Jalandhar, Feb 13: The bi-annual meeting between Border Security Force (BSF) and Pakistan Rangers will be held here from tommorow.
The four-day meeting would be held at the BSF's Frontier headquaters here.
The Pakistan delegation, headed by Sindh Director General Maj Gen Javed Zia, would comprise of Pakistan Ranger Deputy Director General along with other senior staff and representatives of the Survey Department and Anti-Narcotic Force.
This is the highest level contact between the two border guarding forces with an aim to create better coordination and understanding between the border forces so as to generate peace and tranquility on the international border.
The issues related to smuggling, inadvertent border crossing and other border problems including cases of nationals of Pakistan and India languishing in each others jails would also be discussed during the meeting.
